Hi, everyone!
Greetings from scenic Glastonbury, Connecticut. We'll be holed up here for the next couple of days plotting our route, packing up the 4Runner, and buying provisions like duct tape and video games.
So far, our plan takes us across the north through the Midwest and the Dakotas, south through Colorado and Utah, down through Arizona and New Mexico, West across Texas and Louisiana, and back north through Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia, and finally, back to Glastonbury.
Our major stops are likely to be:
-Chicago
-Milwaukee
-Mount Rushmore (Custer, South Dakota)
-Zion National Park (Utah)
-The Grand Canyon
-Roswell, New Mexico
-Austin, Texas
-New Orleans
-Memphis, Tennessee
-Nashville, Tennessee
-Lexington, Kentucky
-Charleston, West Virginia
But we're pretty flexible.
If you'll be in or near any of those places and want to join us for an adventure, let us know! Our cell phones should work or email us at afewshortnotes@gmail.com. And we're in the market for floor space and couches to crash on. We'd be forever grateful if you've got some room to spare for a night.
Keep checking in for more updates and pictures!

ReplyDeleteAlso, I just got back from UTAH - See Bryce if you don't see anything else, it was awesome.
dammit children don't be stupid, come to the land where your dollar goes further! it's only another 12 hours or so from the dakotas to scenic alberta, and if you've ever listened to any real country music, you know how beautiful it is to drive into the canadian rockies in your 4x4.
ReplyDeletei can't even believe i have to try and convince you to do this.
have fun in stupid texas, just know that you could be roaming with the dinosaurs in drumheller and summiting some snow-capped peaks.
